The Hotel Jerome

The Hotel Jerome – simply know in town as “The Jerome” is rich in history, if only the walls could talk you’d quickly hear about the first ski cowboys of aspen all the way to the famous celebrities, olympic athletes and executives that have helped shape the world’s biggest business. What all the Patrons of the Jerome have in common is the desire to kick back, relax, and enjoy beautiful mountain town that has immense character, delicious cuisine and World class skiing.

Walking into the Hotel you’re greeted by bellmen in stark peacoats and cowboy hats, a tribute to the wild west. The main lobby is warm and cozy with a fireplace and a concierge service that will take care of your dinner reservations around town and spa appointments, and anything else to help enjoy your stay. Prospect, their main dining space offers decadent breakfast dishes  – Try the Aspen Standard to start your day of with some good for a day of skiing . Lunch and Dinner is served at Prospect too, or head over to J Bar for an award winning Hamburger made with locally sourced 7X Colorado Beef.

The Jerome is decorated with classic tones, and western themed art with a sophisticated feel yet comfortable enough to walk around in your jeans and a warm flannel. As an outdoor enthusiast in the Winter the Jerome has it’s own dedicated ski shop and valet that will store your equipment for you each night and have it ready for you as you hop in your own private car to get shuttled to any of the 4 mountains. Aspen Mountain, known locally as “Ajax” is 3 minutes away, while Buttermilk and Highlands are 10 minutes and Snowmass is 15. Ajax is a classic mountain with a great view on a clear day of the town below. Highlands is largely considered the locals mountain and has lots of steep terrain with one of the highest hike to alpine bowls in the state. Buttermilk plays host to the X-Games every January and is very quiet for the rest of the season with great long intermediate runs. For a little bit of everything, you guessed it, head to Snowmass.

Back at the Hotel at the end of the Day catch happy hour in the living room where there is a bar ready to make you your own specialty drink, and an ample wine list selection!

The Jerome doesn’t miss a beat from the second you walk in until your departure home. With an international staff on hand, you’ll meet people from all over the world who work there and also vacation. Be sure you hydrate and drink lots of water when you visit Aspen, the Altitude can sneak up on you fast! Most of all though, enjoy your Home away from Home at the Jerome.
